My gaming pc I had built for me just recently got a virus. Upon removing it I had a fresh installation of windows 7 ultimate. When I plugged in my router through my ethernet I couldn't find my network because my drivers weren't installed especially my ethernet. Same with my headset drivers. My usb flashdrive was able to install and open up to move files, and I tried installing a game but it crashed after installation upon loading the shortcut. What can I do to fix this? This computer was put together by a friend who is away and I don't know what to do.
Updates: I have no cd drive either since I just didn't get it included with my build. And I'm also on my hp computer I use for school that has internet.

Solution
Download and run cpu-z and on the motherbd tab it will tell us the make and model#. From there we can direct you to which drivers you need to install.

Hey Dylan,

We can help you locate drivers, but you'll have to give us a hand by letting us know what hardware components you have.
If by any chance you still have the CD that came with your motherboard, pop that in and install the driver's from that.

Yeah, definitely. If you insert the CD into another computer and rather than running it; go to Start -> Computer and right click the disk and click open.

You will now see a list of all the disks contents. If you're lucky, you'll see a convenient naming scheme like this:

Otherwise you'll have to dig a bit.
The names I highlighted are the drivers you'll want to get you all setup (Chipset, Audio, network). Copy them to your flash drive and open them on your gaming computer.

If you open a driver folder and discover several files such as:
"Creative", "CreativeSB" and "Realtek" - Realtek will be the driver.

Ok thank you I will message you back after I complete cpu-z, unless you recommend I do this first before cpu-z.

There's no reason not to try this before or while CPU-z is running as this won't hurt anything and will solve your problem :)

EDIT:

Oh and find the highlighted information in CPU-z to help us help you.

Ok I found two cd's that my friend included with my pc and one of them is the mother board on cpu-z. I have an ASRock 970 Pro 3. I also hav a cd for a zotak that says GeForce Driver. Is this the driver I need to get my computer resolution on scale to my tv monitor? I set my resolution to 1920 1080 same as my tv, but things like the start button, time, and recycling bin are off screen.

How should I go about moving my motherboard and video card installer cd's onto my pc via usb? theres some setups but also folders. Where should i put these folders so that nothing is out of its default place in my HDD.

Heelo again,
HERE is your motherbd's drivers page. Please select the correct OS and then you can download and install those drivers you need. I see you dont need many.

I would install the AMD All in one driver first, followed byt the Realtek Lan, Realtek Audio, and Etron USB3 last.

You dont need the CIR driver unless he gave you the remote control and IR receiver for the motherbd. And I doubt you are running a Raid so you should be good to go.
