Hello

this is my first real oc attempt but I had some kind of expectations
I'm ocing a gtx 970 g1 gaming from gigabyte

and this is like way too high I'm sure I messed up something but I don't know what
http://s15.postimg.org/okepv8nsr/Screenshot_11.png
those clocks are way too high to be stable I saw 970s ranging from 1450 to like 1530 and I wanted to try what mine can do

if I go higher than in the screenshot it does crash I will do a longer test and report back ;)

could you help me to check what did I do wrong?
gpu temp was between 62c and 65c under that load
thank you for your help :)

Graphics cards are targeted at screen resolution and platforms. Then FPS and a combination of both.
Don't like to give recommendations on specific components unless we have used em personally.
Buy parts and cards from the likes of Amazon cuz they have an A to Z guarantee. Be careful with who ya buy from cuz Graphics cards are a never ending nightmare.
Just us with hard earned lessons.

^^ what better card would you suggest?
My resolution is 1440x900(will keep this monitor till its broken) my favorite games are starcraft 1-2 prototype 1 dragon age origins mass effect 1-3 (my cpu is the i7 6700k)
Im mostly playing starcraft 2 but regularly replaying prototype 1 its still not boring :D
Thank you for the input :D

Yeah I agree, 980TI in SLI is about the same price as the Titan X and actually provides about the same if not better performance.

on his resolution the 980ti will perform the same level as the Titan X when you get into larger resolutions like 1440P and 4k that's when the titan is better than a GTX 980ti but as G-Unit1111 mentioned you can get 2xGTX980ti for 1 Titan X and at both 1440p and 4k 2x980ti's work better than a Titan X :)
