Hi tom's community, I've got my i5 4690K running now for a month on 4,7GHz with 1,295v. So I was researching about CPU voltages and lifespan.

I just want to know if I'm safe by running it at 4,7GHz with 1,295v.

This is my system:
»Case: Corsair Carbide 400R
»MB: ASUS Z97-A USB 3.1
»CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 4690K
»RAM: 4x4 (16GB) Kingston HyperX Fury 1866
»SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 120GB
»HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
»GPU: 2x GTX 960 4GB FTW in SLI
»PSU: Corsair RM650

And heres a pic that may help

Thanks all :)

Personally I'd say your safe. As long as temps are under control, you'll be replacing that CPU due to old age before it dies(most likely). That's a pretty solid overlock and I think you're going to be happy for a long time.

I'm running a 6700k at 1.4v adaptive 24/7 and 90% of the time its running at 800 mhz and .8 volts due to auto down clocking when the system is idle, or high cpu load isnt occuring... your running 4 cores at 4.7 24/7 may I ask why.
