I want to install this Samsung 850evo Ssd :

on this Asus P6X58D-E motherboard :

1) Until I buy a new mobo and cpu later this year what kind of speed I can expect on the Sata II ports of the Asus P6x58D-e for the Samsung ssd ?

2) I've been told that the marvell sata 6gbs/s ports are really buggy and doesn't support trim and aren't "true" sata 6gbs/s ports like on the newer chipset x99 etc anyone have any experience with them anyways ?

3) I am in talk with the company who make the SYBA SI-PEX40064 PCI-Express 2.0 Controller Card to install it in a pcie slot and have more speed for the ssd but they aren't sure if the card will be 100% compatible with this motherboard. They think the AHCI support isn't there but I have it in my BIOS waiting for a 3rd email for a more detailed answer.

With that board your not going to get the full speed of the SSD but it will be very close and a night and day change over a standard hard drive. Adding the PCI-E card would be a unnecessary expense for the speed difference if it will even work right.
Trim support depends on the operating system if you have at least windows 7 your fine.

What can of speed I will get I don't care if the ssd doesn't run at full sata III speed 550mb/s until I upgrade computer (even if speed is as low as 200mb/s)... I only care about it being stable since it's gonna be my c: drive with a lot of vm's on it etc You really think it's gonna be night and day even on this older motherboard ? I am not sure if I should get the 1tb version or the 500gb version if TRIM isn't supported because the health of this ssd will degrade over time with no TRIM...

I am running this mobo with core i7 930, 24gig of ram and a 770gtx 4gb videocard so the computer is still powerful for a lot of things and run all the latest games at max settings... was thinking about buying a 5820k and 64gig of ram with a MSI X99A SLI PLUS LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 and a Samsung SM951 512GB AHCI M.2 PCIe 3.0 who run at 2150 MB/sec Read, 1500 MB/sec Write later this year.... but I am not sure if it's worth it "yet" for what I do, better save the money not sure will see

Samsung 850evo 250GB works great on this board.
No problem at installing windows 10, everything was smooth and nice. Yesterdai I installed some magician software from samsung, it upgraded firmware, no problems.
System is very responsive, computer works like new.
I don't regret a single cent spended on this ssd.

What kind of speed you're getting and is it worth it (even in sataII mode) over normal hd for this motherboard ?

I am asking this because I am thinking about upgrading to a 5820k with the msi sli plus motherboard with a samsung 950pro m2 if I dont buy the ssd in the coming weeks ... and later bought another ssd for normal drives after the m2 dont know yet
