I'm an old lady who builds my own systems, and I can't quite decide what gpu to buy. I need information based on what games I play, and that's hard to find. I like the GTX 960 or 970 cards, due to their quietness and power consumption over the equivalent Radeon cards. I probably won't buy another graphics card for several years. I don't play FPS's, but I do play games a lot - MMO's like The Secret World, Guild Wars 2, ESO, plus other games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Sims 3, Cities Skylines, Civ V, Skyrim, etc. I don't overclock, but I do want my new card to last me for 3 to 5 years if possible. So would a 2 or 4 gb 960 work for me? Or should I go for the 970? A 980 is a bit too pricey for me.
I run an i5-4690K with 8 gigs of ram, soon to be 16, on an Asus Z97-A and a Seasonic Gold 760w PS. I am hoping to upgrade my 24 inch Asus monitor to a 27 inch or so, so no 4k for me yet, tho I do have an old 1080p 50 inch plasma tv that I use occasionally.
Thanks for your recommendations guys!

A GTX 970 is your best Nvidia option, if the GTX 980 is too pricey for you. I am not a fan of the 980, myself, as the R9 390x has a better price/performance. Since you plan to keep this for awhile, get the best GPU, that you can afford.
