Hello,

I just bought a BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz 24" inch Gaming Monitor and when I play games etc it works just fine but when I tried to watch a clip on Youtube the screen goes grey and there's horizontal lines all over the screen. Since I can't really do anything at all at this stage I must reboot the PC by force shutting it off and once I boot it up again it's back to normal.

I'm currently using AMD Radeon™ HD 7900 Series Graphics Card.

I've set the Hz to 144.

Anyone that knows what's causing this? I've looked around and it seems I'm not the only one though they have different graphic cards.

Before i used a 60hz monitor but bought this and I'm using the DVI-cable that came with the monitor.

Kind regards

To output 1080p at 120Hz or 144Hz, you need a dual link DVI-D or DisplayPort cable and connect those to your monitor and computer. These standards include support for higher resolutions and refresh rates. HDMI 1.3 or higher can also be used to output 1080p content at 144Hz.
