Hi guys,

I've got a big problem with my PC.. First of all I had some trouble with turning it on, it was frozen on the first welcome screen from Asus and I had to keep restarting my computer, then eventually after a few tries it was working, then I've noticed that my computer is using only 28GB RAM out of 32GB RAM installed. I set the maximum amount in msconfig, tested all RAM sticks one by one, then 2-3 at once and I discovered something. It might be motherboard fault but I am not sure that's why I am asking you guys..

There are some BIOS photos attached:

I would say that it's something wrong with the second slot: DIMM_A2

Thanks for any help.. :)

According to the manual your should install those sticks in A1 B1 C1 and D1. (Page 2-5)

Try this and see if that fixes your issue.

Additional note: There are 2 BIOS revisions for that board newer then what your running.

Thanks @fancarolina but it doesn't work, all sockets are in the right place now: A1, B1, C1 and D1 and still it shows 28GB (avaiable 27,2 GB) instead of 32GB. I have no clue what can be possibly wrong.. :/

That's what I found browsing internet "Corsair Vengeance ram is notorious for not running well on the X79 platform.".

"Your best shot at getting the ram to work is to set the BIOS manually for your memory timings and ram voltage. Also I suggest giving your VCCSA/VTT a little bump. Perhaps to 1.2v. That might strengthen the performance of your IMC a little."

What do you think about it guys?
