best gpu without bottleneck

I have a Pentium g2020 for years now and i paired it up with a gt 630 from inno3d. What is the best graphics card can run with this cpu without bottleneck. How will a r9 270 perform

I wouldn't try more than a GTX 750ti with the g2020. It would still be a significant upgrade from the GT 630, and any more than that and your CPU will be holding back the card.

The bottleneck is game dependant no matter what graphics card you use if the game is meant for quad cores or more then you will be botllnecking the gpu. the 750ti is the most anyone should spend with a low end cpu though as stated. But playing multiplayer games like bf4 or battlefield or anything cpu bound a dual core will bottleneck. There are games that wont even load without modding unless you have atleast a quadcore like farcry 4 so the term bottleneck is really subjective

Sure but you'll have throw away the mobo & processor too because today you can get a good processor like G3258 and an ASUS Z97-E.

Any cheap lga 1155 cpu you might suggest and how sure that the g2020 wont bottleneck the 270. Thanks

I looked up your processor, the passmark score was higher than I thought so 270/950 would be a good last GPU for that CPU

Thanks for the reply but will it run gta 5 on a 1366/768 resolution and not on all max setting with 4gb ram or should i cheap out on the gpu and buy a 8gb stick?

You'll be on normal settings more so than high (GTA5 doesn't have low) and the game has a lot of options to choose from such as resolution to scale and half v-sync for 30fps which is how the console versions run.

You picked the one of the MOST demanding CPU/GPU games out there but the lower resolution will help both CPU/GPU at the very least. GTA5 is one of the few games that needs 4 threads or more to run on higher settings but you will be fine on normal settings.
