best codec to use on dxtory

Hi,

I have bought dxtory to record gameplay to start a YouTube channel but I was wondering what the best codec is. I am on windows 10.

Ah okay, if you ever decide to install DXtory again, here is a few codecs I can recommend you can try out
Matrox video codec - http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/windows/vfw_software_codecs/downloads/softwares/version1.0/
Lagarith lossless video codec - (takes a lot of space on HDD and requires a good CPU) https://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
x264 Codec - (currently using this one, overall good quality, uses less space on the HDD) https://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/

ah right thanks... I may have to go back to dxtory because the gameplay sound isn't coming out on sony vegas. I've made another thread about this anyway. Thanks bro

No worries, there was a recent update for DXtory, might want to download it and try it out, downloaded it last night, also remember to setup the audio correctly, if your headset is 4100Hz 16bit, remember to set it up in DXtory as PCM stereo 4100Hz 16bit

I'm not very good with audio and stuff so can you tell me what I should use for a Logitech g633. Im using that whilst playing the game to record my voice and for hearing the gameplay

I would keep both at PC stereo 4100HZ 16 bit, I use it for when I use my headset for recording with DXtory, seem to work great and audio is crystal clear
