So to describe the situation at the moment, this past weekend during Black Friday sales, I had bought a brand new Nvidia 950 GTX graphics card, thinking it would fit. Well, it did (barely), but little did I know that it needed an 8-pin power cable to power it until after I put it into the machine, since neither Amazon nor even the Nvidia website said anything about it, and at the moment I do not possess an extra 8-pin strip for my power supply.
Now, because my computer is a bit old (computer bought in question), and because I only make about $200-250 every 2 weeks due to part-time job, I was thinking of buying a new PSU just to be careful in case the 460w one I have now doesn't work for the video card (the minimum recommended is 350w)
Question is, the PSU I've been looking at buying, I'm unsure if it would work or not (not all that tech savvy. took some IT courses, but barely listened in on them) given the components my computer has at the moment (everything in the newegg link is what's currently in computer)
Mostly, I'm looking for a 2nd opinion on the matter so I don't make the same mistake again, and if I have to buy more than just the PSU in order to get the video card to work.
