will my asus m11bb run gtx750ti

i bought a gtx750ti because i thought it didnt need any extra power but i noticed the asus one i bought requires a 6pin and my power supply only has 4pin plugs. if i use a 4pin to 6pin adapter will this work. and is it possible that doing so could do any damage? i have Asus M11BB and it has only 350W of power. when i called asus they said i needed 750w for the card, i called again they said 1000W then i looked at the box and it said 400W, im extremely confused... please help

Unless you plan to OC the card, the GTX 750 Ti needs a minimum of a 300W PSU as recommended by Nvidia: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

thanks you very much. For future reference if the power supply for a card is not met would that cause any damage to anything?

It all depends. Normally (with a good quality PSU) the system will shut down or re-boot when the PSU can't maintain the voltage. With a cheap piece of crap PSU however, it may die a catastrophic death and take something else out with it. Or at worse, cause a fire.

I presume your Asus is a mini tower, right? If you want to take a pic of the nameplate on the side of the PSU and post it, I'll verify it for sure for you.

I'm not familiar with the make, but with 2 x +12v rails rated at 13A each and good for a total of 216W, you should be fine running the GTX 750 Ti as long as you don't OC anything.
