I got a new Samsung EVO 500gb SSD. It shows up fine in the BIOS but Windows 10 can't see it at all. The drive doesn't show up in Device Manager or Disk Management, which usually seems to be the fix.

Does anybody know how to find it?

Any suggestions? Or do you think it's broken somehow?

Well..I've never seen a functioning drive and cable that appears in the BIOS, and does not appear in Disk Management.

What happens if you reboot?

Ok I figured this out. Not sure what was wrong, but what I did is I unplugged my other SSD and plugged the new one into that port. For whatever reason that worked even though I tried other ports and they didn't work. I formatted the new SSD and then plugged the old one I had (that I'm still using, not a boot disk or anything just games) into a different port. Works now for whatever reason.

Lesson: try every sata port, not just 2. And then the ones that weren't working will work for a different drive, because reasons.
