I have a Asus X550ZA and it has onboard R6 graphics with 8GB Ram. Asus says that the R6 has 2GB dedicated graphics.
Should Ibe concerned about the 1.05 gb ram not shown as usable?
That's for sure the integrated gpu using your system ram, it is normal in laptops.
''Total video memory is a combination of what is physically on the card, with the "shared" amount determined by the total amount of system ram and is not user configurable.
Users cannot alter the amount of memory shared between the graphics card and system memory, however there are very few chipsets available where user do have an option to change the amount of memory they want to allocate.'' http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19630405
