Hard drive disks

My hard drive hasn't died or anything. It's just that I'm worried the platters may become misaligned if I move my computer often, if that's even possible. I may just be paranoid but I'd rather know sooner than later.

Solution
No you won't hurt it or anything like that unless you drop the hard drive it self on a nice hard floor. Then you will kill it. I mean look at laptops. They get moved around ALL the time when they are on and nothing happens and desktop drives are much bigger and stronger case than laptop hard drives

Hey there, The_doctorwho!

@drtweak is totally right! You can't damage an HDD physically by moving around the computer, unless you drop it. That's when you should be very concerned about the health of the drive.
The best way to avoid such worries regarding your data is to keep constantly backups of it stored in different locations, of course. Having more than one copy of your files will definitely give you some peace of mind and avoid any data-loss headaches in the future.

Best of luck! :)
