Would an Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 (or higher) work on my Lenovo G31T-LM motherboard?

I'm currently using a Lenovo G31T-LM motherboard with a Pentium Dual Core E2180 on it, and i've been wondering if it's possible to put a Q6600 (or better, if possible) on it.
I can't really much information about the Motherboard on the internet, so far i only know it's Socket 775. I'd like to know for certain, i wouldn't like to buy a core 2 quad processor and then find out it doesn't work

Solution

Only going by the research as i never had one, Intel say Q8400 with 1333 fsb is for G33 chipset and up, while the Q6600 is 1066 fsb for G31 chipset and up. still say yes to Q6600.

Wait for others opinions, it's been awhile since i played with these 775's LOL :)

I don't mean to be rude, but are you sure? I already tried putting a Core 2 Quad Q8400 and it didn't work, my PC didn't even boot... What am I doing wrong? My BIOS has a 2008 date, could that be the reason? Or was it the processor that was broken-not functioning?
