Can Wifi card PCI-ex x1 work on PCI-ex x8, x16 or PCI?

Hello readers,
I have a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 which its PCIe x1 slot on motherboard covered by GPU and I need to know if my Wifi card can be compatible on different slot like such PCI-ex x8, x16 or PCI.

The PCIex1 can work in any PCIe slot, as it is the smallest card.
As long as there is the same, or more, lanes it will work.

I just installed my wifi card (in sig) into my second PCIex16 lane that runs in x4 mode. The card is x1.
