Hey, sorry to bother you guys here but I have a couple of questions. Long story short I wanna sell my PC without a hard drive but I have a few questions. Sorry for the horrible grammar, punctuation, English, etc. I'm just really tired right now and about to go to bed. Sorry if I sound like a complete dumbo.
*****I don't wanna do the whole HDD nuke thing and sell it like that cuz im paranoid that they will be able to recover files, passwords, family pictures, etc.(I know selling the PC without a hard drive will lower the price)******
1) Is there any way the new user would be able to recover any data, like .txt's, documents, pictures, passwords, or any files? (I know the answer is a solid no, I'm just a bit paranoid sorry lol)
2) Do I just take the hard drive out and boom I can just sell it like that or do I have to do some fancy stuff? (if I have to do some fancy stuff, can someone guide me?)
3) Will taking out the hard drive ruin the PC? By this I mean if I boot the PC up without a Hard drive, will any of the parts or BIOS go rip? Or will it be like the time I first test booted it up to see if it would even turn on?
4) I know the buyer will have to buy his/her own HDD & OS, but will me removing my HDD affect the installation of the other persons HDD/OS? <--(will it be like when I first installed my HDD/OS when I first built it or will it be more complicated/different for them?)
Again, I'm really sorry about my English skills and if I sound like a dumbo. Thanks for the help and take care

You will be fine if you remove all your HDD's, there is no where else data is saved.

You may get more $$$ if you clean up the inside of the computer (dust the fans/heatsinks/case/etc...), after doing so make sure you turn it on and the fans are still spinning however (dust bunnies getting in the barrings in a fan can make it not spin).

Removing the HDD's will not damage anything, even if the computer is turned on without a HDD (of course, turn the PC off while physically removing and disconnecting the HDD).

The buyer would simply install a HDD, and then install an OS, very little else needs to be done. In the "olden days" you had to make sure the BIOS detected your HDD, the jumper on the HDD was correct (master/slave), and the drive...

No need to over think this, your assumptions are correct.

Best of luck!
