I currently have a swiftech h220x that recently died on me after 6 months, swftech is going good on replacing the pump.

After talking with Intel on my cpu being defective and not throttling down or shutting down when it started to over heat Intel told me that any 3rd party cooler voids the warranty. The Intel liquid solution is the cooler they suggested to use that keeps warranty.

I can not find a lot of info on this cooler and it seems impossible to get in Canada. Any thoughts on whether this cooler is decent or not as great as the rest, or if the h220x is far superior.

Thank you.

It is available in Canada, http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00CYX45CK/?tag=pcp0f-20

As far as effectiveness, I used it's older brother (Intel BXRTS2011LC) for my introduction into liquid cooling. I was able to get my i5-2500k OC'd to 4.8GHz stable with it. I had assumed that I would get better performance from a custom loop (plus it wasn't that easy to install, NewEgg customers claim easy installation for the BXTS13X so maybe they addressed that) and, although I was able to drop temps a little more with a custom loop, I could not get higher overclocks. I found no legitimate reviews for the BXTS13X, just some customer ones at NewEgg
I had not heard of the warranty aspect for using it but most reviews of the BXRTS2011LC were mediocre at best...

I still have the cooler and have used it when my pump in the custom loop failed. I personally like the cooler even if one of my primary reasons for purchase was the bling factor (it does look nice IMO - I like the glowing Intel logo)

Hope it helps some
