Daul channel will be faster, not a lot but with the price drop in ddr3 memory I would recommend the 2 sticks

That motherboard has 4 memory slots so go ahead and get the 2X 4GB sticks that will give you 8GB of memory with 2 open slots in case you ever need to add another set for 16GB.
