Hiya, I have recently bought a VTX R9 280x graphics card.

Once I put it into my computer, the fans and everything else work fine however there is no display on my monitor.

After doing some research (6 hours so far) I think I need to update my mobo BIOS however when I try this, I cannot figure out what to do.

I made a poor attempt to Q Flash however this quickly failed as I came up with this screen which I don't know how to navigate from.

Motherboard brand: Gigabyte
Model: H61MA-D2V
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit

Please, any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. Need to figure this out before I go insane!

The most reliable method is using q-flash and a fat32 formatted usb drive with the bios file in the root of the drive. You have to use a usb 2 port and drive for this. The usb 3 port and/or device won't work.

There is usually a setting in the bios to clear settings / bios reset to factory default settings (this doesn't change the version of the bios, just CPU, memory and other settings). After a BIOS update I always do this. Sometimes a bios update can cause strange issues.

If you can get your system to boot into safe mode try updating your drivers too after the BIOS update.
