Background: two years ago or so, I started having issues while playing the game Rust; my computer would randomly reboot with no warning or error message on startup, as if someone had pulled the plug. I upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1, and for nearly 6 to 9 months or so the problem seemed to have gone away and I figured it was somehow a software issue related to Rust. Then, the problem returned to Rust, and again, I assumed it was an issue solely related to Rust.

Fast forward to about 6 months ago, the problem persists in Rust but it happened in another game, CS:GO, and then it begins happening in nearly all the games I play (H1Z1, The Forest, Heroes of the Storm) always the same hard reboot with no error message on start up.

I've checked the event viewer, it's always just a general "unexpected shutdown"or "Event 41 Kernel-Power" error.

My system information below, no overclocking is being done. And so far I've replaced my graphics card, memory, and power supply in an attempt to remedy this issue, and I've just experienced this issue again this morning after putting a brand new power supply in last night.

GA-970A-UD3 Motherboard
AMD FX 8150 (3.6)
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (8gb)
Nvidia GTX 960
EVGA P2 750w power supply
Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit OS
2 HDDs, (320gb, 1tb, both 7200 RPM - the 320 is slightly old and is the next thing I'll end up replacing or getting rid of this issue persists)

I have 9 120MM fans in my system, and one of the first things I did when experiencing this issue was to download a temperature monitor and watch them during the applications where shutdowns occurred; everything was normal, never going much higher than idle or standard usage. I've disabled automatic restarts on system errors, hoping it might lead to an explanation. I've read every forum question I can and talked to as many people about this as possible, and no one seems to have a solution that I haven't tried yet. With the exception of a failing hard drive (and my OS is on the newer HDD), I'm out of ideas at this point.

Thanks for your time.
