Heya guys, I unfortunately had to cheap out on my air cooler for my 4690K and ended up ordering a Hyper TX3 to cool it. I know for a fact that with Arctic Silver 5 it should be way better than the stock cooler but I want to know how the temps would look. I also would like to know if I could install 2 120mm fans in a push-pull config on it by ghetto rigging them together with a tight rubber band. Since the TX3 only support 92mm.

Also would this fit easily on socket LGA 1150? I have heard people use it on their 4690K's but the push pins can make it a pain to make good contact between the CPU and the cooler.

So it wasn't that dumb of a move spending $18 on it?

Your cooler isn´t really meant for OC, it more meant as a silent alternative for pc in countries with hot weather.

I´d suggest instead just buy a hyper evo 212, and skip the rubberband solution - even though its a funny and original setup :)

NB seems like alot of people replied, while i replied. Anyways Hyper Evo 212 is just $25 and as others said, your is great for non oc

Sorry for the late reply, but I bought the Hyper T4 and it showed up early this tuesday. It looks to me like a 212 Evo with less height. Luckily this thread is already marked as solved as well so it wasn't sitting around unsolved for a few days.
