Hi, My PC has been fine for a good year with no issues then last night after a half an hour or so it just cuts out however i can power it on again and it will work for another 30 mins. One thing that is new is now when its powered i can hear a very fast ticking noise that seems to go quieter when running a game etc.

I have not done any new modifications to my pc that could have caused this.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. thanks!

Clicking is often mechanical, not electrical. This means in high likeliness that something is getting hit by a fan, and when your computer is in heavy use it quiets down for any number of reasons.

Attempt to isolate the noise. Do this at your own risk but I tend to stop the fans one by one with my finger or a tiny non conductive item to see if the clicking persists. If it does after testing all fans, it must not be a fan.
