Battery charging is disabled in Dell Batter Meter

I have a dell inspiron laptop N4110. I got a new charger since the original one broke. But apparently my computer stopped charging, it even says so on Dell Batter meter. Also it says plugged in not charging. I even tried to install a bios update but i can not since i need ten percent or higher, and yes my laptop is dead and only the charger is keeping it alive. And the last thing is that i check the bios menu of clicking f2 on start up. And it said adapter type unknown, so any suggestions.

Some Dells have a chip in the charger that the laptop communicates with and so will only work with the correct Dell charger.
Did you get the correct Dell charger for your model of laptop.

I have no idea i am going to have to tell you later to get the info. But on the brick says it is a replacemet AC Adapter, and i'm guessing the chip isn't supposed to have that.
