How do I get this to work? I have the server hooked up to the modem because it gives me my dedicated IP from my ISP. However, my router is hooked up to the modem and has an LAN of its own and therefore all devices on this are separate from the server which is on LAN. Why is this an issue? One, transfer speeds, two... (the main problem) UPNP. I want to have the server give DLNA to all the devices in my house but because they're not on the same network, I'm essentially screwed.

How can I allow the two LANs to connect without affecting the dedicated IP setup of my modem already? It is critical that I do not mess up the settings for my dedicated IP as it is currently being used as a webserver with live websites running off of it.

Solution
Get another NIC and enable ICS to supply router (bridge mode?). Plug everything else into the router.

Turn off computer, loose everything.... bummer.

Edit:
I got a phone call... friend said this doesn't make sense. OK, here goes.
Add another Network Interface Card to computer.
Modem (internet source) connects to computer.
Set up Internet Connection Sharing in computer to share Internet with second Network card.
Connect Router to the shared Network card.
Turn off firewall in router (or open ports in wide range to accommodate devices)
Connect home devices to router.
There, was that so hard?
