So I recently got an HP Proliant DL320 for free. It came with two 750GB HDDs. One is a Hitachi and one is a Seagate. I'm running OpenMediaVault with the RAID card. NOT software RAID. The OS is on a crappy laptop drive. I'm not worried about it. But I have no idea how to tell if one of the RAID drives has failed. They're running in a mirror. RAID 1. S.M.A.R.T. does not work on drives connected to a RAID card. For what it's worth, I have no idea how to configure anything related to the RAID card. HELP! I want to know when a drive has failed, so I can deal with it.
