I have also ordered the same card from amazon and i am waiting for delivery. i too need to change the stock psu and put in an aftermarket one just for this. I am confused on the psu wattage. havnt fixed yet. seems like you are having problems even with a branded 450w psu.
So i am guessing this requires more ?

As long as it's a good quality PSU it will be fine, and there are no heat issues. Corsiar power supplies have several not very good models, you can check here for the best ones, tier 3 at least for a gaming system http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

If you look around a bit, you can find some good tier 1 and 2 PSUs for not much more than a poor quality one. In general, Seasonic, EVGA, XFX and Antec are very good overall brands if you don't want to deal with finding a specific model
