Hello. I am a league of legends streamer. I am currently streaming my games on a pretty old pc. Its a fx 4100 cpu and a gtx 550 ti gpu. During late game team fights i am suffering from FPS drops. My question is: if i buy a fx 8350 procesor, will i get a better fps quality and performance while streaming? Even if im usuing this old gpu?

not really no, League of legends depends more pretty much solely on the single core clock speed of a processor and AMD processors have very bad single core clock speeds, you would get better fps and less lag getting an Intel i3-4170 and a H81 motherboard, this will cost you more but you will get MUCH better performance, for example when I had a FX-8350 I was getting around 80 fps without being in teamfights and this dropped a ton while in team fights, I upgraded to a I5-6600k now I get over 300fps even during teamfights on ultra settings, intel works far better in league than AMD does.

League will run just fine on Intel or AMD systems with a midrange GPU. It's not demanding.

The question is about streaming. Going to a 6 core CPU like an FX 6300 or a video card with hardware streaming like NVidia ShadowPlay will help a lot. The extra CPU cores or GPU encoder can handle the recording/streaming load nicely.

MSI Afterburner + Valley Bench is a worst case scenario. Valley only uses 1 core and Afterburner does all the capture and encoding on the CPU. Let you can see it still works well.

as league only really uses a maximum of 2 cores and it relies solely on single core clock speed getting the FX-6300 over an Intel I5 would be a stupid idea, sure for games like Fall out 4 and Assassins creed that use 4 cores then getting a 6 core processor to stream as well would make sence, but with a game like league that dosent use that many cores its not worth getting the vastly slower core speeds that AMD offer as you can use 2+ cores for stream and 1or 2 for league which is more than enough.
