I need a new mother board, a own a Intel Xeon E3 CPU, 8gb of UDIMM RAM, and 16gb of ECC-DIMM RAM. Because of my select components, finding a new mother board is difficult. I'm currently looking at buying this:

The problem is that it is advertised as a "server mother board". Will this effect the overall performance of my pc if a choose to buy it?

Solution
ASRock C226 WS ATX Server Motherboard LGA 1150 is the wrong socket for the Xeon E3-1225.

You can use socket LGA 1155 motherboards, such as the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 listed above.
You can also use less expensive Z75 chipset models:
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
ASRock Z75 Pro3

Hi.. I have a HP DL 560 G8

2 x Eight-Core Processors
Intel® Xeon® E5-4627 v2 (3.3GHz/8-core/16MB/130W) Processor

lots of memory

Could this be used as a gaming pc or is it using to much power?

I got it free so have that in mind when comparing that I should out buy a pc.
