How many case fans can the MSI Z97S SLI KRAIT Edition motherboard support?

I am looking to get some additional case fans, and am not sure how many I can get. My case (corsair carbide 300r) has space for an extra 5 (2 are pre installed), but I don't know how many the motherboard supports. Also, does anything other than the wattage on a PSU impact this?
Thanks for any help.

A NH-D15, and additionally some case fans, like the Revoltec RL060, but now I see that that uses a 3-pin connector while the motherboard uses 4-pin connectors. Also, the case has 2 built in fans. I assume the revoltec fans won't be compatible, right?

So if the case has 2 fans pre-installed, I can only add 1 extra before I need a splitter? Also, since the connectors are 4-pin, it means a fan with a 3-pin connector won't be compatible right?

You could do a ton of those Rovoltec fans using a single splitter. Only using .11A/fan. Typically it is save to pull up to 1A off of a fan header so in theory, you could get 3, 8 fan splitters and connect 24 of them to the motherboard alone so long as the header can take an amp. I looked on MSI's website but they do not specify. Contact MSI if you would like to know.

24 is a bit excessive, so I would argue pretty much as many as you would like lol.

So how many does a splitter support? Can you reccomend one that can support 8, including 3 that might have 4-pin connectors (I'm not sure what type of connector the preinstalled ones use)? Thanks
