Ibought a MSI gaming 5 motherboard and a gtx 960 GPU, the motherboard has a 3 x PCI-Ex 3 16,0,0), (8,8,0), (8,4,4) . now as i understand it -the GPU will run on x16 so the other 2 PCI-E slots will be 0 ,
I would like to connect a PCI-E USB3 expansion card to one of the slots, I think it runs at x4 .
Will this make my GPU run at x8 and will I get half of the performance on my GPU ?
