Swapping Motherboards Same model

I know that if you upgrade or change your motherboard to something different you either must have a retail copy of windows to install or purchase a new one. However, I am swapping my motherboard with the exact same model. Will windows require authentication again? I'm probably not going to do this if it invalidates my copy of Windows.

It will require reactivation.

In the case of an exact same replacement for a broken board, MS will [strike]almost certainly[/strike] authorize that. Simple call to the phone robot.
But if it ain't broke, why are you replacing it?
