How to increase RAM speeds

I just got 24Gb 2000MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM. I previously had 16Gb 1600MHz ram. I'm wondering how I would go about increasing my RAM speed. When I boot up my system, task manager says my memory speed is 1333MHz, not the 2000MHz that the RAM can run at.
When I go into bios settings, I only have the options to run the RAM at 1866MHz or 2133MHz. If I select the option of 2133MHz in the XMP profile, then will the RAM run at it's correct speed? I have no option for a 2000MHz XMP Profile.

Mobo Gigabyte x79-up4

2000MHz isn't supported on that mobo, so you would either have to overclock it to the 2133 or underclock to the 1600. If you have issues running at 2133, just dial it down to 1600. You really wouldn't notice any difference in performance.

I chose the 2133 XMB profile on the BIOS, and the RAM is running at 1833MHz now. If the mobo supports 2133, why wouldn't it support 2000? I don't want to underclock at 1600MHz because then I bought the upgrade in RAM for nothing. How would I go about overclocking it to 2133MHz? My CPU is running at 4.0GHz

You might have to raise the cpu strap to get the memory to run higher.. But 1866 with good timings will serve you well, especially since you have quad channel memory the increase of 2133 will be barely anything 95% of the time or more.
