6TB is pretty large, and probably expensive for the WD Black model.

If it's for STORAGE then I'd look for a cheaper, slower drive since speed doesn't matter (for one thing, I have mine set to power down so when I occasionally access stuff there's a delay to spin up). Even for gaming, the load times won't me much different versus a slightly slower modern hard drive.

And for where PERFORMANCE really matters an SSD would be better.

I honestly have a hard time thinking of scenarios where I'd personally justify the cost of that drive. It's $280USD and you can buy a 4TB WD Green drive for $130.
