To begin, here is my build:

So I have been interested in getting my RAM up to it's factory speed, It's currently running at 1333 while its 2400 ddr3 ram. I noticed there is the EZ Tuning Wizard option in my BIOS. I ran it once, my computer booted up fine but I went back to the BIOS to see what was changed. I found this:

Ai Overclock Tuner [Auto]->[XMP]
CPU Core Ratio [Auto]->[Sync All Cores]
DRAM Frequency [Auto]->[DDR3-2400MHz]
DRAM Voltage [Auto]->[1.65000]
DRAM CAS# Latency [Auto]->[11]
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay [Auto]->[13]
DRAM RAS# PRE Time [Auto]->[13]
DRAM RAS# ACT Time [Auto]->[31]
DRAM Command Rate [Auto]->[2]

I looked into the timing for my DRAM and this is the correct timing, the program CPU-Z also confirmed the speed was up even above 2400 slightly.

I was only really interested in raising my RAM speed but the CPU was increased by 8% according to the tuning wizard (CPU-Z claimed it went from 4400 to 4500 while idle). It seems all that it did regarding the CPU was the core ratio to [Sync All Cores].

My question is all this safe and fine for my computer? I believe it has/will improve performance but I don't want it to damage any of my parts. I've read that the auto-OC will often not give the correct voltage to the CPU, is that occurring here?

Additionally, the ASUS Suite III program then switches the CPU power phase control to 'Extreme' in the DIGI+ VRM section. Is that an issue to anything? (I have tried using just the XMP profile to raise the DRAM speed as well, it works raising the speed but also changes the CPU power phase control).

I'm sorry for being new but I'm learning! I really appreciate any help or guidance you can give. Thanks Tom's community!

Solution
Any OC on the CPU? (might need a small one for 2400) - but otherwise, just go into BIOS and enable XMP - Profile 1 and it will set itself up to 2400
