Computer works with 1 stick of RAM, but not with 2 sticks

This is somewhat of a unique RAM problem from what I've found. I have an ASUS P8Z77-V Motherboard and two sticks of Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB RAM. For some reason, by computer will boot and work with no problems with one stick of RAM in any slot. But when I add a second stick in the same letter bank i.e. b_1 and b_2, it will boot and run fine. But when I turn off my computer and turn it on again, the RAM-OK LED on the Motherboard lights up, and the computer will not boot. I've tried every RAM configuration there is, and it's the same situation each time. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the RAM banks or with the timings. Any help would be much appreciated.

Solution
Hello... 1) You need to save & exit Bio's with each hardware-BIO's change.
2) Lower your MB performance Mode setting.
3) some MB's need a different paired of RAM slots used for "dual" "single" channel memory modes... Check your MB man/pdf.
