Hi

I am trying to upgrade my desk-top's RAM memory.
First try was my mistake, exceeded the max memory on one slot.

I am trying with this:

========================================

This is my desktop:
Fujitsu Esprimo P1510
CPU: Intel Core i3 550 @ 3.2 GHz
Motherboard: MSI D2415, 4 DIMM DDR3-1066, 4GB RAM (2 x 2GB), max 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB
OS: Win 10 Home 64-bit

RAM specifics installed:
2x 2GB DDR3-1333 CL9 1.5V
PC-10700 (667 MHz)
Samsung
M378B5773CH0-CH9

RAM specifics upgrade:
2x 4GB DDR3-1333 CL9 1.5V
PC3-10600 (667 MHz)
Kingston
KVR13N9S8K2/8

==========================================

I started with all four installed, 2x 2GB + 2x 4GB, which made the computer restart over and over.
Then I tried with only the new, 2x 4GB, which made the computer restart over and over.
Then I tried with only one new, 1x 4GB, which made the computer restart over and over.
With only one installed, I tried all four memory slots, same outcome.

Have removed the backup battery on the motherboard, and reinstalled it after a few seconds.
Still the same restart procedure.

Have entered the BIOS to see if there is something I could do. There are no RAM related menus anywhere.

Please help me, I really need to upgrade my RAM, but don't feel like a need to buy a complete new desktop.

Hello... it's not rare... But you need to run a compatibility app to see your options with different companies/brands... and make sure you get the right thing. B )
Basically you need P55 chipset - Intel Core i3 550 compatibility and Sites like Kingston etc, will have listings for these type of memory modules.

Hi

Well, the Samsungs that were installed (from factory) are actually 1333MHz and not 1066 MHz, so it is a bit weird that they work properly and not mine then I guess...

Plus, 1066 in 4GB was a bit difficult to find (here in my city)....

Could you elaborate?
Do you mean that I need to find some rare special DDR3?

Thanks!

OK, I see!
Will run the compatibility searches for my computer and order from the results!

Thanks!
