Triple 4k monitor setup?

Will this be enough to run a triple 4k monitors?

4970k 4.0 ghz

16 gb corsair pro ram DDDR 1600 mhrz

240 Gb intel SSD (500 mbps read, 400 mbps write)

GTX 980 ti SLI

MSI z87 gd65 motherboard

Will this be enough to run triple 4k monitors? Does the brand you buy matter? And I'm talking about 4k monitor brands like Asus vs Acer vs Dell vs Lg ectc... ?

**Also very important**: Will my current PC rig bottleneck other components, lets say will my motherboard hold back the GTX 980 SLI's etc..?

There is no bottleneck in your system. Brand doesn't matter, the quality of a product matters. You want to have three of the same monitors, you don't want three different ones as colors and contrast always differs per monitor if that's what you're asking.

For desktop use 4k will work easily with even a single 150-200 dollar graphics card. Actually gaming on the other hand I'm not sure if it will run smooth with 2x GTX 980 Ti.

I would say no. 2x980Ti's is considered a very good setup for a single 4k monitor. I don't think there is a setup with current hardware that would do well with triple 4k, think we are at least a few years away from that being feasible

I'm curious what you're going to be doing with those monitors. When VR gets here you not going to use them for gaming are you?

I doubt there is any hardware set up that can handle 3 x 4k monitors in gaming .

Unless you like 15 fps

The point I was trying to make was if you're going to play virtual reality games then you don't need to waste your money on monitors. I was under the impression you wanted a wider field of view for gaming. VR is the widest.
