I'm looking at a new PSU. It's an EVGA G1 750W Gold. This one

Click on the picture to enlarge and then go to the 5th pic with the label, then zoom in to see the #'s. There's something I don't understand. If you look at the 12V rail it shows 61Amps\732Watts. And looking to the left on the 3 & 5 V rails it shows 150W. I just thought that if you were looking at wattage that combining those two numbers would equal the total. So in this case ti adds up to 832. So there's something I'm not getting here. So now I'm curious how they come up with those #'s?

Also, I don't see EVGA's G1 series on the Tier list

Where does this PSU fit in? Good? Excellent?

Thanks

EDIT: those are Canadian prices

Thanks for the quick reply. So this GQ is better

Again I don't see that one on the list, so maybe it's branded under a different name?

And between that GQ and this G2? G2 is on the list as a Tier 1

I'd like to save where I can, but I certainly won't dicker over $10 if it means that much better of a unit

The GQ isnt listed because its new. Heres a review on the 850w model (no reviews for the 750 yet).

The GQ is definitely better than the G1 but not as good as the G2. For rails the good manufacturers no longer add the rails to get the advertised wattage. Any more the trustworthy ones mainly go off what the 12v rail(s) is rated for as thats the most used rail.
