Hello,
So I just finished building a custom pc for my gf and noticed something odd.
We were both playing world of warcraft at Ultra settings with 8x msaa and vsync at 60Hz. 1920x1080
Both gpu fan curves have been set more steep than the factory settings.
My system:
Fractal Design R4 (case)
I7 4790k
16gb ddr3 1600
Gtx980 http://eu.msi.com/product/graphics-card/GTX-980-4GD5-OCV1.html#hero-overview
Her system:
(It does 50-60 fps with above mentioned gfx settings which amazed me)
Sharkoon Vg4-w (case)
I5 4460
8gb ddr3 1600
Gtx960 2gb http://eu.msi.com/product/graphics-card/GTX-960-GAMING-2G.html#hero-overview
Whilst her 960 was doing it at a silent 35-45°C my 980 was more in the 60-70°c range and blowing up a storm.
Should I be concerned about my Gfx card or is there something in the design that could explain this?
Grtz, Joe
