This is my first time building a computer. So far my parts list is

black s340
i5 6600k processor
hyper 212 evo cooler
Kingston 8 gb 4*2 ddr4 2133
Samsung 850 evo ssd 250gig
EVGA 750 watt b2
msi z170a m5 mobo
msi gtx 970 gpu

any advice?

Go slow with the build, you shouldn't rush any build especially your first one. If you assembled everything and it doesn't boot up or you experience problems, dont freak out and seek help from
youtube and this forum. Lastly, if it doesn't fit don't force it. Sounds obvious but I've seen too many broken motherboards from people mashing things in the wrong way, no puns intended.
