450W PSU enough for GTX950 + i5 4460 3.2Ghz?

I'm currently planning to upgrade to a GTX950 and i5 4460 soon. However my main concern is the power supply I'm currently using- a Thermaltake LT-450NL2NK, as I pretty much know it's bottom barrel trash-tier PSU for sure.
As I'm planning to upgrade my case + PSU as soon as possible, will my current power supply be able to run those parts for a while?
Also, would anyone be willing to give a good recommendation on what power supply to buy? I'd prefer around the $100 AUD mark. I'm looking at a Silverstone Strider Plus 500W as it's the only full modular power supply within my budget but I'm still unsure.
Aside from said graphics card and processor, it will also be powering two 120mm and 80mm case fans, an SSD and a 5400RPM HDD. (Seagate Barracuda).

On that note, I wish to install two 80mm fans; probably Nanoxia Deep Silence fans. However my motherboard only has one 3-pin system fan connector. Would a 3-pin Y-Splitter cable have an adverse or ill effects if used?

Thanks for your time.

The silverstone strider plus is a decent unit, and one of the few decent units within your price range due to how expensive parts are in AUS, as for your current PSU, I would avoid using your hardware with it, as it is a POS, but the wattage is high enough, I just wouldn't be comfortable using it

Alright, thank you. So basically it would likely be a better option to buy the parts, and then hold out on installing them until I can get a new power supply?

Also, last question: Will a fan splitter cause any damage/ill effects if I use one?
Thank you very much for your help so far.

I'm not actually sure, I guess it depends on the amount of power that the motherboard is able to supply via the fan header. If the wattage of the two fans is greater than the ability of the motherboard to deliver, then there will be problems, otherwise, you should be fine

A single 3 pin fan header on your motherboard can easily handle two 80mm fans. As for the Y splitter, as long as it's the correct type made for the job, then you'll have no problems. If you are handy with a soldering iron, and your fans have colour coded wires, you can simply cut the plug off one of the fans and splice it's wires into the other fan's wires. If you do this, only connect the red and black power wires, DO NOT connect the yellow wire as this is used to tell the system the fan speed, so connecting the 2nd yellow would give a false reading and causes the fans to run too slow.
