I checked all the connections. In fact I had it running totally fine for a couple hours before this.

The build is here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Yj7M99 . When I booted it up to begin with the bios was not recognizing one of the sticks of ram. I ended up being able to install windows and a number of other programs.

I decided then I would try to see if the ram was bad or if it was the motherboard socket. So first I switched the unrecognized stick to another socket. It wasn't recognized there. Then I took that stick out and put the stick that had been recognized into the socket that the unrecognized one was in. It stopped posting to the bios after that.

Now if I have the bad stick in the computer shuts itself off before going to bios and if I try to put the good stick in the computer stays on but wont go to bios or show anything on the display.

I don't know what I did wrong.

I have more RAM coming on Monday so I was gonna try and see if that would work.

Any ideas? Could the stick that was working suddenly have shit the bed? Is the motherboard in need of an RMA? I checked all the connections a thousand times, everything seems to be in order there. I just don't know what to do.
