Hard Disk Drive

Hard disks come in one common interface (two actually):
SATA 2.0 and SATA 3.0
Most of the motherboards available today will have these ports, so any hard disk with a SATA port will be compatible. You need to list what motherboard you are talking about and the hard disk if we are dealing with something other than SATA connectors.
There are also PCIe SSDs and M.2 SSDs, but M.2 are more common in laptops than desktops. But they should be compatible with modern motherboards too.
