Hey,

Anyone happen to have an idea for a simple cartoon style single player rpg for a 6 year old?

I'm looking for a game to introduce my 6y old to rpg's that's not too graphically violent he can handle the occasional Orc or Skeleton but a gory, dark, violent game isn't going to make him sleep any better either. :p

Something where you have to collect and upgrade gear and maybe a basic stat system would be nice.

Prefferably something with 3d Graphics.

grtz, Joe

an rpg that I used to play when I was little was this one: http://www.dragonfable.com/
dragon fable was my favorite for me and my friend when we were younger xD
there's also an MMO version by the same developers with the option for safe chat lobbies.
it's a simple party turned based rpg with jokes and stuff, I found it perfect for little kids, and it's website based.

hope I helped :)

Hey thz for your input i forgot about Tibia lol it's definitely not a difficult game from an adult pov but for a kid... He's the type to quickly lose interest if he can't understand.

Perhaps dungeon defenders is an option? Simple combat and a lot of rotation in items so the gearing aspect doesnt get too grindy....

Wish i could get dd2 to work on win10 tho.

Grtz.

Well I have:
Msi Z97 G55 SLI
I7 4790k
Msi gtx 980 ocv1
(reference cooler i know, i'm looking into a better cooling solution suggestions welcome.)
16gb ddr3 1600mhz crucial ballistix sport (2x8)
750w psu
240G ssd 2tb hdd

And just this weekend i built one for my wife.

Gigabyte h81m s2h
I5 4460
Msi gtx960 2gb gaming edition
8gb 1600 ddr3 crucial ballistix sport (2x4)
120ssd 1tb hdd
600w psu

My plan is to upgrade to skylake + Pascal when it comes out and use my current mobo/cpu/ram/gpu in my wife's pc and use her stuff for a build for the kids room.

For now he can play on one of our pc's when we're not using them.

I have 8 and 6 year old boys and they play Minecraft, trove, and roblox. Of the 3 trove has the most RPG elements. It has character progression and skills mixed with the building and gathering of Minecraft. Roblox is a great free play game that's based mostly around user created worlds and content.

The boys have their own systems so I can't say that's 100% untrue but I haven't seen or had them complain about any problems obviously caused by roblox. Of the games mentioned if OP is looking for a game with RPG elements I'd say check out trove and torchlight 2. Roblox is more in line with Minecraft and Garry's mod where a lot of the gameplay comes from mods and user created content and is more sandbox/world building instead of RPG.
