Try a free recovery software like Recuva and see if the data can be retrieved from your SD card. Usually when you pull a device from a system without removing it from the device manager results in a corrupted memory card and worse a dead one. Lets hope its the former as the data may be possible for retrieval and not the latter as that means a new SD card.
