Cloning HDD to SSD

Hey, just bought a 240gb SSD and I am trying to clone my HDD to it, HDD only has around 40gb on it. I have ran macrium and it fails to clone (error 22). Help highly appreciated.
EDIT: After the failed clone my SSD disappears from disk manager.

Probably not. I've used the Macrium tool several times.
But the whole clone concept 'usually' works. Usually.

When it fails, it is probably better and faster to just do a whole clean install of the OS, rather than trying to 'fix' a busted clone operation.

ok, ill try a few of the suggestions on Macrium's forums. I also have a 2nd HDD 1TB thats only 11months old and another SSD (240gb) - as I got one for my pc and my mothers laptop. You expect me to get the same issues?
