Hello guys, I really like to investigate about parts and "build" (not phisically) desktops and I'm wondering about the performance of a Intel + Nvidia vs a AMD build sitting around a similar budget on light / mid gaming so here it goes (I decided to pick a low resolution monitor because the purpose is exactly light gaming) :

// DESKTOP AMD //

CPU : AMD FX 6300 Black Edition 3.5GHz 14MB BOX SKAM3+ (111,50€)
CPU COOLER : Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (34,90€)
MOBO : ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 AMD970 SKAM3+ (75,90€)
GPU : Asus Radeon R7 360 OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E (138,90€)
RAM : Kingston DDR3 HyperX FURY Black 2x4GB 1866MHz Cas10 (52,50€)
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATAIII 64MB (6GB/s) (53,90€)
PSU : Corsair VS-550W 12cm (54,90€)
CASE : BitFenix Nova - Black (31,90€)
DRIVER : Asus Green DVD-Writer Sata Black Retail - DRW-24F1ST (22,50€)
MONITOR : Asus LED VS197DE 5ms (84,90€)

Total : 661,80€

// DESKTOP INTEL & NVIDIA //

CPU : Intel Core I3 4160 3.6GHz 3MB BOX (118,90€)
CPU COOLER : Raijintek Themis Heatpipe CPU Cooler - 120mm (28,90€)
MOBO : Asrock Z97 Anniversary Intel Z97 SK1150 (89,90€)
GPU : Asus GeForce GTX750 TI OC 2GB GDDR5 (148,90€)
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 2x4096MB (8GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CAS9 1.5V (53,90€)
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATAIII 64MB (6GB/s) (53,90€)
PSU : Corsair CX-430W 80PLUS Bronze Certified (50,90€)
CASE : Nox PAX USB 3.0 (24,90€)
DRIVER : Asus Green DVD-Writer Sata Black Retail - DRW-24F1ST (22,50€)

Let me know what you guys think!

I've always heard that performance-wise Intel and Nvidia were better than AMD, especially when working together.

That is untrue in a sense! Nvidia is an independent brand that produces GPU's for all CPU sides of the market. The thing is that AMD CPU's are now 3-4 generations behind Intel for gaming so even AMD GPU's perform better with Intel CPU's.

I didn't mean they are dependent from one another, just that they perform better together. Thanks for your opinion though.

It is only because of the Intel CPU's being better. We have to go back 10 + years when AMD CPU's like Athlon X2 was the king of the hill.
