Just recently I've had issues with my system booting while an xmp profile is active. My system will fail to boot, fans will rev to 100% until I manually power off (sometimes several times). Eventually the bios will reset the xmp settings and it will boot fine.

The strange thing is if I simply reset the settings, turn on the xmp profile again and restart my pc, the ram will go back to 2400mhz and be fine for the rest of the day. However when I shut it down for the night the same problem will happen whenever I boot it up next and ill have to reset and everything again.

I am at a loss, any insight would be great, thanks.

Solution
ook in the BIOS for CPUVTT or DDRVTT and raise it about + 0.07, your MC (memory controller) may not be up to the 2400 DRAM, the VTT voltage feeds the MC and may help. An alternative might be a slight OC of the CPU
