Good morning. I have this PC specs:

GPU: MSI GTX 760 2GB
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance
Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3
PSU: Seasonic 750W
HDD: WD 1TB 7200RP (all games installed there)
------------------------------------------------------------------

My brother has Intel i3 processor some cheap AMD GPU and the games run smooth on his computer. For example, I must play CS:GO on medium/high settings to get +/- stable 60fps. My brother playes CS:GO all on high settings on his low end PC with literally stable 60fps.

What is wrong with my PC hardware? It must be hardware because I reinstalled Windows many times and it still keeps happening. Is there any program that can run a test or diagnose and some tech-guy here can read it through and find what is wrong?

Please, help me finally. I have this PC since 2012. I bought it for 1800€ and I cannot play the games as I have expected. All the time I must use low/medium settings to get at least 50-60 fps.

Other friends who have worse PCs play on HIGH/ULTRA and get stable smooth 60 fps.

Please, I really need your help.

What size is your screen compared to his? If you're using a 1080p or 1440p monitor and he's using a 900p monitor, that could explain it. Honestly though you'd have to list his entire PC setup as well. If his "cheap AMD" card was just on sale when he bought it, it could actually just be a better GPU than your 760, which is a lower-mid tier card. It's power efficiency is great, but the performance isn't something to write home about for 1080p+ gaming.

1.We are both using same monitors. We both have Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD and we both play on 1920x1080 resolution.
2. I didnt have these lags/low performance issues the first two weeks after I got my new PC. However after those two weeks something has changed and since then I have no idea what is causing this. I had my PC at tech service and they did run various tests but they did not find anything. They say everything runs OK. However, that is not true. I see that the games run really slow.
3. The AMD card my brother uses, I cannot tell you know, I can tell you tomorrow, but I know that his AMD has 1GB VRAM and my Nvidia GTX760 has 2GB VRAM.

Since the hard drive is 3 years old AND Windows has been reinstalled many times, I would check that, but just in case - if it's in a bad condition, it might take more time to load games into RAM and so worsen FPS. Also, do you have good temps?
